More Than a Coffee Roastery
Gangga Roastery is a women-led coffee roastery based in Ubud, Bali, providing specialty coffee solutions for cafés, hotels, restaurants, villas, coffee brands, and hospitality businesses. Built on a passion for Indonesian coffee, we believe great partnerships begin with quality, consistency, and trust.
Our Story
Gangga Roastery was established in 2019 by Putu Surya as an extension of Gangga Coffee, which first opened in 2017. What began as an internal roasting operation to support our own cafés quickly evolved into something much bigger.
As more cafés, restaurants, hotels, and hospitality businesses discovered our coffee, the demand continued to grow. What started as a way to serve our own guests became an opportunity to support other businesses seeking reliable specialty coffee and long-term coffee partnerships.
Today, Gangga Roastery works with hospitality businesses, coffee brands, and retailers by providing wholesale coffee supply, custom roasting, private label coffee, consulting, and coffee program development.

Coffee has always been more than a beverage to us. It represents culture, craftsmanship, and one of Indonesia’s most valuable natural treasures.
Indonesia is one of the few countries in the world with the climate and geography needed to produce exceptional coffee. Across generations, coffee has become part of daily life, especially in Bali, where sharing coffee has long been part of local tradition and community.
Our passion for coffee comes from this appreciation—not only for its flavour and aroma, but also for the people, knowledge, and heritage behind every harvest.
A Women-Led Coffee Roastery
In 2021, the leadership of Gangga Roastery was entrusted to Ni Wayan Suryaningsih, marking an important milestone in our journey.
This transition reflects something we have always believed. Across Indonesia, women play an essential role throughout the coffee value chain—from harvesting and sorting cherries to processing green coffee with exceptional care and precision. Their contribution has shaped the quality of Indonesian coffee for generations.
